2) CALENDARREMINDERS

1 Nissan (March 22-23) - Rosh Chodesh

3 Nissan (March 24-25) - Shabbat Vayikra, Torah Reading: Lev. 1:1-5:26; Haftorah: Isaiah 43:21-28, 44:1-23

10 Nissan (March 31-April 1) Shabbat Tzav, Shabbat HaGadol, Torah Reading: Lev. 6:1-8:36; Haftorah: Jeremiah 7:21-8:3; 9; 22, 23. In the afternoon, hear the Rabbi's special talk and read the Haggada from "Avadim hayinu" (We were slaves") until "asher nisba l'avoteinu" ("which He swore to our Fathers").

11 Nissan (April 2) Birthday of Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, the 7th Lubavitcher Rebbe (1902-94).

13 Nissan (April 4) Yahrzeit of Rabbi Yosef Caro, (1488-1575) the author of "the Shulchan Aruch", the Code of Jewish Law, and the Tzemach Tzedek, (1789-1866) the third Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Bedikat (search for) Chametz at night by candle

14 Nissan (April 5) Day Time: Erev Pesach - Birthday of Maimonides and the Maharal.
Burn the chametz before five hours after sunrise (ask your local rabbi for exact times and details)

14 Nissan Evening:
Seder Night. This year the Seder will take place on Wednesday evening, April 12th [plus Thursday evening, April 13th outside of Israel]. Be sure to eat a big piece of matzah (½ a handmade round one or all of a square machine one) within a short time after saying the blessings (if you don't talk until you finish eating your matzah, the times shouldn't be a problem). The same requirements apply for the afikomen matzah at the end of the meal too. Each of the four cups of wine should also be drunk quickly, in a few successive swallows. If the required four cups is too much, you can dilute your kosher-for-Passover wine with some kosher-for-Passover grape juice. It is preferable to have a percentage of wine in all the cups than to have some cups all juice and some all wine.

15 Nissan (April 6) First Day of Passover. Torah Reading: (Ex. 12:21-51, Haftorah: Joshua 3:5-7, 5:2-6:1, 6:27); Morning Prayer: Last time to mention Geshem (rain) in the Amidah; change at Musaf to Tal (Dew). Tuesday nite: beginning of the counting of the Omer.

16 Nissan (April 6-7) Second day of Passover outside of Israel

16-20 Nissan (April 6-11) Chol HaMoed --"Intermediate" Days of Passover

21 Nissan (Tuesday nite April 11-Wednesday April 12) Seventh (and in Israel last) Day of Passover. Torah reading: Ex.13:17-15:26; Haftora: II Samuel 22:1-51.
Mashiach Seuda: A chassidic custom for one more matzah-munching meal in the final hours of Passover instituted by the Ba'al Shem Tov himself. Add for more cups of wine to do it Chabad-style.

22 Nissan (Apr.12-13) Outside of Israel, eight and last day of Passover. Torah Reading: Deuteronomy 15:19-16:17; Haftora: Isaiah 10:32-12:6

24 Nissan (April 14-15) Shabbat Sh'mini; Torah Reading: Lev. 9:1-11:47; Haftara: Samuel II 6:1-7:17; Pirkei Avot (after Mincha) Chapter 1.

30 Nissan (April 21) First day of Rosh Chodesh Iyar.
Yahrzeit of Rabbi Chaim Vital and Tsfat Liberation Day.

Free to study all Jewish Scripture:

Our Prayer and hope: All the gates to the Har ha-Bait have to be opened for Jews and non-Jews seven days in the week 24 hours a day. The Jews need to have the freedom to go with Tefillin, Tallit and Torah Scroll up on the Mountain to serve Hashem. And do קידה ('Kidah' prostate, laying down, before Hashem) Everyone showing his/her respect for the Jewish and all other religions. But NOT for the words/deeds/sins spoken against any word of the Torah of Moshe Rabbeinu and the 'real' teachings of the Jewish Rabbis. The Jews must be the guardians of the Har ha-Bait.

Let's pray for a death sentence for the Palestinian Authority, Hamas, Hezbollah and for the continuation of the Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria. The Palestinian Authority, Hamas and Hezbollah must disappear. Enough of the hatred from the world (the USA, the European Union, and the UN!) against the Jewish people.

The Jews have the mission to change the Har HaBait, from her situation now, into a Prayer House for all peoples based on the Torah Law of Moshe Rabbeinu.

על היהודים מוטלת המשימה לשנות את הר הבית, ממצבו הקיים, לבית תפילה לכל העמים על פי חוק התורה של משה רבנו.
