It is in the month of Nissan, the month of our redemption from Egypt, that our anticipation of the longed-for final redemption intensifies. Like science, the redemption that imminently awaits us is counter-intuitive to the redemption that we have been expecting, so much so that the Alter Rebbe of Chabad was known to say that the Mashiach who everyone is waiting for will never come, and the Mashiach who will come, nobody is waiting for!
