Together, Yehuda and Ephraim, we dedicate our learning in memory of the lives lost, and with prayers for the safe return of those held captive and for everyone affected by the ongoing violence in Israel. Everyday soldiers die. Please Pray that we stop the 'old politic' game and that the fighting goes on until all Eretz Yisrael is Jewish Sovereign and all terrorists are dead in and around Eretz Yisrael! Eretz Yisrael completely liberated.....! Then let us start to Pray and to talk about a new government system in Eretz Yisrael! That every Jew and non-Jew has to accept and respect Jewish Law. Voting's yes, but a new high Court system, a Sanhedrin, the Great Sanhedrin and the smaller Sanhedrin’s...... Jewish Law in all Eretz Yisrael. Praying for the Restoration of the Kingdom of Ephraim her unification with Yehuda so that we may become a real blessing for the whole world as it was in the time of the Kingdom of HaMeleg David.

וִֽירִיחוֹ֙ סֹגֶ֣רֶת וּמְסֻגֶּ֔רֶת מִפְּנֵ֖י בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֵ֥ין יוֹצֵ֖א וְאֵ֥ין בָּֽא:

And Jericho had shut its gates and was barred because of the children of Israel; none went out and none came in.

Rashi

סֹגֶרֶת וּמְסֻגֶּרֶת: כְּתַּרְגּוּמוֹ: אֲחִידָא בְּדָשִׁין דְּפַרְזְלָא, וּמִתַּקְּפָא בְּעִבָּרִין דִּנְחָשׁ.

had shut its gates and was barred: according to Targum , closed with iron gates and reinforced with copper bolts.

וַיֹּ֚אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ אֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ רְאֵה֙ נָתַ֣תִּי בְיָֽדְךָ֔ אֶת־יְרִיח֖וֹ וְאֶת־מַלְכָּ֑הּ גִּבּוֹרֵ֖י הֶחָֽיִל:

And the Lord said to Joshua, See, I have given into your hand Jericho and its king, the mighty warriors.

ג

וְסַבֹּתֶ֣ם אֶת־הָעִ֗יר כֹּ֚ל אַנְשֵׁ֣י הַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה הַקֵּ֥יף אֶת־הָעִ֖יר פַּ֣עַם אֶחָ֑ת כֹּ֥ה תַֽעֲשֶֹ֖ה שֵׁ֥שֶׁת יָמִֽים:

And you shall circle the city, all the men of war, go round about the city once. Thus shall you do six days.

וְשִׁבְעָ֣ה כֹֽהֲנִ֡ים יִשְׂאוּ֩ שִׁבְעָ֨ה שֽׁוֹפְר֚וֹת הַיּֽוֹבְלִים֙ לִפְנֵ֣י הָֽאָר֔וֹן וּבַיּוֹם֙ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י תָּסֹ֥בּוּ אֶת־הָעִ֖יר שֶׁ֣בַע פְּעָמִ֑ים וְהַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים יִתְקְע֖וּ בַּשּׁוֹפָרֽוֹת:

And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the Ark; and on the seventh day you shall encircle the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.

And he said to the people, Pass on, and encircle the city, and let the armed ones pass before the Ark of the Lord.

And it was when Joshua spoke to the people, and the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before (the Ark of) the Lord and blew with the trumpets; and the Ark of the covenant of the Lord followed them.

And the armed men went before the priests that blew the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the Ark, (the priests) going on, and blowing with the trumpets.

וְהֶחָלוּץ: בְּנֵי רְאוּבֵן וּבְנֵי גָד הָיוּ עוֹבְרִים לִפְנֵיהֶם, לְפִי שֶׁהָיוּ בְּנֵי גָד גִּבּוֹרִים וּמַכִּים בִּזְרוֹעַ חֲזָקָה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (דברים לג כ): וְטָרַף זְרוֹעַ אַף קָדְקֹד.

And the armed ones: The children of Reuben and the children of Gad were passing before them, because the children of Gad were mighty warriors and would strike with a strong arm, as it is said: “And he tears the arms, even the crown of the head.”

וְאֶת־הָעָם֩ צִוָּ֨ה יְהוֹשֻׁ֜עַ לֵאמֹ֗ר לֹ֚א תָרִ֙יעוּ֙ וְלֹֽא תַשְׁמִ֣יעוּ אֶת־קֽוֹלְכֶ֔ם וְלֹֽא־יֵצֵ֥א מִפִּיכֶ֖ם דָּבָ֑ר עַ֠ד י֣וֹם אָמְרִ֧י אֲלֵיכֶ֛ם הָרִ֖יעוּ וַֽהֲרִֽיעֹתֶֽם:

And Joshua commanded the people, saying, You shall not shout nor let your voice be heard, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then you shall shout.

וַיַּסֵּ֚ב אֲרוֹן־יְהֹוָה֙ אֶת־הָעִ֔יר הַקֵּ֖ף פַּ֣עַם אֶחָ֑ת וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ הַֽמַּֽחֲנֶ֔ה וַיָּלִ֖ינוּ בַּֽמַּֽחֲנֶֽה:

And he caused the Ark of the Lord to circle the city, going about it once; and they came into the camp and lodged in the camp.

וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֥ם יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ בַּבֹּ֑קֶר וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים אֶת־אֲר֥וֹן יְהֹוָֽה:

And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the Ark of the Lord.

And the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns before the Ark of the Lord were going continuously, and they blew with the trumpets; and the armed men went before them; and the rear guard came after the Ark of the Lord, (the priests) going on and blowing with the trumpets.

Rashi

וְהַמְאַסֵּף: שֵׁבֶט דָּן הַנּוֹסֵעַ אַחֲרוֹן, וְהוּא מְאַסֵּף אֶת כָּל הַמִּתְעַכְּבִים הָאַחֲרוֹנִים.

and the rear guard: the tribe of Dan that traveled last, and they would gather up all those who lingered behind.

וַיָּסֹ֨בּוּ אֶת־הָעִ֜יר בַּיּ֚וֹם הַשֵּׁנִי֙ פַּ֣עַם אַחַ֔ת וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ הַֽמַּֽחֲנֶ֑ה כֹּ֥ה עָשֹ֖וּ שֵׁ֥שֶׁת יָמִֽים:

And the second day they circled the city once, and returned to the camp; so they did six days.

And it was on the seventh day, that they rose early at the dawning (of the day), and they circled the city after the same manner seven times; only on that day they circled the city seven times.

on the seventh day: It was the Sabbath.

וַֽיְהִי֙ בַּפַּ֣עַם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔ית תָּֽקְע֥וּ הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים בַּשּֽׁוֹפָר֑וֹת וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֚עַ אֶל־הָעָם֙ הָרִ֔יעוּ כִּֽי־נָתַ֧ן יְהֹוָ֛ה לָכֶ֖ם אֶת־הָעִֽיר:

And it was at the seventh time, the priests blew with the trumpets, and Joshua said to the people, Shout, for the Lord has given you the city.

And the city shall be devoted; it, and all that is in it, to the Lord; only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that is with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

וְהָיְתָה הָעִיר חֵרֶם: הֶקְדֵּשׁ, כִּי הַיּוֹם שַׁבַּת קֹדֶשׁ, וְרָאוּי לִהְיוֹת קֹדֶשׁ שָׁלָל הַנִּשְׁלָל בּוֹ.

And the city shall be devoted: consecrated [belonging to “Hekdesh”]. For the day was the Holy Sabbath; hence it was appropriate that the booty which was taken thereon be consecrated.

וְרַק־אַתֶּם֙ שִׁמְר֣וּ מִן־הַחֵ֔רֶם פֶּֽן־תַּֽחֲרִ֖ימוּ וּלְקַחְתֶּ֣ם מִן־הַחֵ֑רֶם וְשַׂמְתֶּ֞ם אֶת־מַֽחֲנֵ֚ה יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ לְחֵ֔רֶם וַֽעֲכַרְתֶּ֖ם אוֹתֽוֹ:

And only you keep (yourselves) from the devoted thing, lest you make yourselves condemned when you take of the devoted thing, and make the camp of Israel a ruin, and trouble it.

וַעֲכַרְתֶּם: לְשׁוֹן מַיִם עֲכוּרִים.

and trouble: Heb. וַעֲכַרְתֶּם, an expression of turbid water (מַיִם עֲכוּרִים).

וְכֹ֣ל | כֶּ֣סֶף וְזָהָ֗ב וּכְלֵ֚י נְח֙שֶׁת֙ וּבַרְזֶ֔ל קֹ֥דֶשׁ ה֖וּא לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה אוֹצַ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה יָבֽוֹא:

And all the silver and gold, and vessels of copper and iron, are consecrated to the Lord; they shall come into the treasury of the Lord.

And the people shouted, and (the priests) blew with the trumpets; and it was when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, that the people shouted with a great shout, and the wall fell down in its place and the people went up into the city, every man opposite him, and they took the city.

וַֽיַּחֲרִ֙ימוּ֙ אֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּעִ֔יר מֵאִישׁ֙ וְעַד־אִשָּׁ֔ה מִנַּ֖עַר וְעַד־זָקֵ֑ן וְעַ֨ד שׁ֥וֹר וָשֶֹ֛ה וַֽחֲמ֖וֹר לְפִי־חָֽרֶב:

21

And they completely destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.

וְלִשְׁנַ֨יִם הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֜ים הַֽמְרַגְּלִ֚ים אֶת־הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ בֹּ֖אוּ בֵּֽית־הָֽאִשָּׁ֣ה הַזּוֹנָ֑ה וְהוֹצִ֨יאוּ מִשָּׁ֚ם אֶת־הָֽאִשָּׁה֙ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־לָ֔הּ כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר נִשְׁבַּעְתֶּ֖ם לָֽהּ:

22

And to the two men who had spied out the country, Joshua said, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out from there the woman and all that she has, as you swore to her.

וַיָּבֹ֞אוּ הַנְּעָרִ֣ים הַֽמְרַגְּלִ֗ים וַיֹּצִ֡יאוּ אֶת־רָ֠חָ֠ב וְאֶת־אָבִ֨יהָ וְאֶת־אִמָּ֚הּ וְאֶת־אַחֶ֙יהָ֙ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־לָ֔הּ וְאֵ֥ת כָּל־מִשְׁפְּחוֹתֶ֖יהָ הוֹצִ֑יאוּ וַיַּ֨נִּיח֔וּם מִח֖וּץ לְמַֽחֲנֵ֥ה יִשְׂרָאֵֽל:

And the young men who were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brothers, and all that she had; and they brought out all her families, and placed them outside the camp of Israel.

וַיָּבֹאוּ הַנְּעָרִים הַמְרַגְּלִים: כָּאן הָיוּ צְרִיכִים זֵירוּז וְנַעֲשׂוּ כִּנְעָרִים זְרִיזִים, וּבַלַּיְלָה הָרִאשׁוֹן הָיוּ כְּמַלְאָכִים שֶׁשָּׁמְרוּ עַצְמָן מִן הָעֲבֵירָה עִם רָחָב הַזּוֹנָה, לְכָךְ נִקְרְאוּ שָׁם מַלְאָכִים, וּלְכָךְ נִקְרְאוּ: אֲנָשִׁים, מַלְאָכִים, נְעָרִים.

And the young men who were spies went in: here they needed speed, and therefore acted as lively young men. On the first night they were like angels, for they kept themselves from sinning with Rahab the harlot. Therefore, there they were called מַלְאָכִים [lit., angels]. And therefore, they were called men, angels, and young men.

כ״ד

וְהָעִ֛יר שָֽׂרְפ֥וּ בָאֵ֖שׁ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֑הּ רַ֣ק | הַכֶּ֣סֶף וְהַזָּהָ֗ב וּכְלֵ֚י הַנְּח֙שֶׁת֙ וְהַבַּרְזֶ֔ל נָֽתְנ֖וּ אוֹצַ֥ר בֵּֽית־יְהֹוָֽה:

24

And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was in it; only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of copper and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord.

וְֽאֶת־רָחָ֣ב הַ֠זּוֹנָ֠ה וְאֶת־בֵּ֨ית אָבִ֚יהָ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־לָהּ֙ הֶֽחֱיָ֣ה יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ וַתֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ בְּקֶ֣רֶב יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה כִּ֚י הֶחְבִּ֙יאָה֙ אֶת־הַמַּלְאָכִ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַ֥ח יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ לְרַגֵּ֥ל אֶת־יְרִיחֽוֹ:

But Rahab the harlot, and her father's household, and all that she had, Joshua saved alive; and she dwelt in the midst of Israel to this day; because she hid the messengers, whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

וַיַּשְׁבַּ֣ע יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ בָּעֵ֥ת הַהִ֖יא לֵאמֹ֑ר אָר֨וּר הָאִ֜ישׁ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֚ר יָקוּם֙ וּבָנָ֞ה אֶת־הָעִ֚יר הַזֹּאת֙ אֶת־יְרִיח֔וֹ בִּבְכֹר֣וֹ יְיַסְּדֶ֔נָּה וּבִצְעִיר֖וֹ יַצִּ֥יב דְּלָתֶֽיהָ:

And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the Lord, that rises up and builds this city, Jericho; with (the loss of) his first-born shall he lay its foundation, and with (the loss of) his youngest son shall he set up its gates.

בִּבְכֹרוֹ יְיַסְּדֶנָּה וּבִצְעִירוֹ: בִּתְחִלַּת יְסוֹד שֶׁיִּבְנֶה בָּהּ יָמוּת בְּנוֹ הַבְּכוֹר, וְיִקְבְּרֶנוּ וְיֵלֵךְ עַד שֶׁיָּמוּת הַצָּעִיר בִּגְמַר הַמְּלָאכָה, הִיא הַצָּבַת הַדְּלָתוֹת.

with [the loss of] his first born shall he lay its foundation, and with [the loss of] his youngest son: At the beginning of the foundation which he builds therein, his first born son will die and he will bury him, and continue [to bury all his sons] until the youngest one dies at the finish of the work, viz. the setting up of the gates.

וַיְהִ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה אֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ וַיְהִ֥י שָׁמְע֖וֹ בְּכָל־הָאָֽרֶץ:

So the Lord was with Joshua; and his fame was throughout the entire land.

וַיִּמְעֲל֧וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל מַ֖עַל בַּחֵ֑רֶם וַיִּקַּ֡ח עָכָ֣ן בֶּן־כַּרְמִי֩ בֶן־זַבְדִּ֨י בֶן־זֶ֜רַח לְמַטֵּ֚ה יְהוּדָה֙ מִן־הַחֵ֔רֶם וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֥ף יְהֹוָ֖ה בִּבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל:

And the children of Israel committed a trespass in the consecrated thing, for Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the consecrated thing; and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel.

וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ יְהוֹשֻׁ֨עַ אֲנָשִׁ֜ים מִֽירִיח֗וֹ הָעַ֞י אֲשֶׁ֨ר עִם־בֵּ֥ית אָ֙וֶן֙ מִקֶּ֣דֶם לְבֵֽית־אֵ֔ל וַיֹּ֚אמֶר אֲלֵיהֶם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר עֲל֖וּ וְרַגְּל֣וּ אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַֽיַּֽעֲלוּ֙ הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים וַֽיְרַגְּל֖וּ אֶת־הָעָֽי:

And Joshua sent men from Jericho, to Ai, which is beside Beth-aven, on the east side of Beth-el, and spoke to them saying, Go up and spy out the land. And the men went up and spied out Ai.

So there went up there of the people, about three thousand men; and they fled before the men of Ai.

And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty-six men; and they chased them from before the gate to Shebarim, and smote them in the descent; and the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

And Joshua said, Woe, O Lord God, why have You at all brought this people over the Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to cause us to perish? Would that we had been content and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan!

וְלוּ הוֹאַלְנוּ: הַלְוַאי נִמְלַכְנוּ לָשֶׁבֶת בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן מִזְרָחָה, בְּאֶרֶץ סִיחוֹן וְעוֹג שֶׁנִכְבְּשָׁה כְּבָר.

Would that we had been content: Would that we had decided to dwell on the east side of the Jordan in the land of Sihon and Og, which has already been conquered.

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear and shall encircle us and cut off our name from the earth; and what will You do for Your great Name?

וּמַה תַּעֲשֶׂה לְשִׁמְךָ: הַמְשׁוּתָּף בִּשְׁמֵנוּ, זֶהוּ מִדְרָשׁוֹ. וּפְשׁוּטוֹ וּמַה תַּעֲשֶׂה לְשֵׁם גְּבוּרָתְךָ שֶׁיָּצָא כְּבָר, וְעַתָּה יֹאמְרוּ תָּשַׁשׁ כֹּחוֹ.

and what will You do for Your great Name?: which is inherent in our name [i.e., Israel, the שַׂר, or prince, of God.] This is the derash. The peshat is: What will You do for the Name of Your might which has already become famous? For now they will say, His strength has become weakened.

Get up: The kethib is קֻם לָ [It has arisen, or stayed, for you.] That which you have prayed before Me and mentioned, has stood you in good stead. Another explanation is: You stayed in camp, and did not go out with them, while I said: “And who will lead them out [to battle] and who will bring them [back].” “For you shall bring the children of Israel and I shall be with you.” “For he will cross before this nation and he will cause them to inherit.” If you go before them, they will succeed, and if not, they will not succeed. Another explanation is: קוּם לָ, [explaining לָ as: On your account] On your account this has befallen them. I did not tell you to consecrate the booty of the city.

חָטָא֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְגַם֙ עָֽבְר֣וּ אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּ֖יתִי אוֹתָ֑ם וְגַ֚ם לָֽקְחוּ֙ מִן־הַחֵ֔רֶם וְגַ֚ם גָּֽנְבוּ֙ וְגַ֣ם כִּֽחֲשׁ֔וּ וְגַ֖ם שָֹ֥מוּ בִכְלֵיהֶֽם:

In the morning, therefore, you shall be brought near according to your tribes; and it shall be, that the tribe which the Lord takes shall come near by families; and the family which the Lord takes shall come near by households; and the household which the Lord takes shall come near man by man.

לַבָּתִּים: יֵשׁ בְּמִשְׁפָּחָה אַחַת הַרְבֵּה בָּתֵּי אָבוֹת.

by households: One family contained many households.

לַגְּבָרִים: לְרָאשֵׁי גּוּלְגּוֹלֶת, כָּל אַנְשֵׁי הַבַּיִת יָבֹאוּ לַגּוֹרָל.

man by man: by heads; all the men of the household were to come to the casting of lots.

he and all that he has: according to the law specified below: He and the cattle by lapidation. The accent zakef which appears over the word: בָּאֵשׁ [with fire] indicates that it is separate from אֹתוֹ [he]; for we find verses which the accent divides, such as: הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ אַחֲרֵי דֶרֶ מְבוֹא, “far past [the Jordan], the way of the going down of the sun,” in which אַחֲרֵי [far past] is separated from דֶרֶ [the way] by the accent. And this is its interpretation: And he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burned with fire that which is fit to be burned, as is explained below.

He and all that he has: according to the law explained below. This is a brief verse, and similar to it: “whosoever smites the Jebusites and gets up to the tower.” He does not explain what will be done to him. In (I) Chronicles, however, he explains: ‘shall be chief.’ Here also, he did not specify what would be done to ‘him and all that he has,’ and below he specifies.

And Joshua rose up early in the morning and brought Israel near by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken.

give, I pray you, glory: He began to criticize the method of casting lots [by which his guilt had been established]. He said: By casting lots are you coming upon me [to establish my guilt]? If a lot were cast between you and Eleazar the two greats of the generation, it would fall on one [of you]. Said he to him: “I ask you not to find fault with the method of casting lots, through which method the land is destined to be divided.”

And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and thus have I done.

And Achan answered: He saw the children of Judah [his tribe] assembling for war [in loyalty for one of their own]; and said [to himself]: It is better that I alone die rather than many thousands of Israel be killed.

and thus and thus have I done: also with other devoted things during Moses’ time, as it is stated: “and I will devote their cities.”

When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

When I saw among the spoils: I reflected upon that which is written in the Torah: “And you shall eat up the spoils of your enemies.”

a Babylonish garment: As the Targum renders: a Babylonish garment, for any sovereign who had not acquired a palace in the Land of Israel, experienced no satisfaction from his reign, as it is stated: “And I give you a coveted land, an inheritance desired by hosts of nations.” And the king of Babylonia had a palace in Jericho, and when he would come here he would wear them (sic).

and they ran to the tent: lest the tribe of Judah arrive first and take it from there to cast a doubt on the efficacy of the lots.

And they took them from the midst of the tent, and brought them to Joshua, and to all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the Lord.

וַיִּרְגְּמוּ אֹתוֹ... אֶבֶן: שֶׁחִלֵּל אֶת הַשַּׁבָּת.

and they stoned him etc.: for he had violated the Sabbath.

וַיִּשְׂרְפוּ אֹתָם: הָאֹהֶל וְהַמִּטַּלְטְלִין.

and burned them: the tent and the movable property.

וַיִּסְקְלוּ אֹתָם: הַשּׁוֹר וְהַבְּהֵמָה.

and stoned them: the ox and the [other] animals.

וַיָּקִ֨ימוּ עָלָ֜יו גַּל־אֲבָנִ֣ים גָּד֗וֹל עַ֚ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה וַיָּ֥שָׁב יְהֹוָ֖ה מֵֽחֲר֣וֹן אַפּ֑וֹ עַל־כֵּ֠ן קָרָ֞א שֵׁ֣ם הַמָּק֚וֹם הַהוּא֙ עֵ֣מֶק עָכ֔וֹר עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה:

And they raised over him a great heap of stones to this day. So the Lord turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore, the name of that place was called, The Valley of Achor, to this day.








Everyone, with whatever background Christians, Muslims, Hindus etc. if they like the do Teshuva out of the feeling that they feel so much home with the Jews, to be with the Jews we invite to join us?

Bet Yisrael has 'no problem' if people study learns from the NT. As long they put away 'Avoda Zara' complete. Believe the most important person of the NT is a Tsaddik.

Five possessions did the Holy Blessed One, set aside as his own in this world, and these are they: The Torah, one possession; Heaven and earth, another possession; Abraham, another possession; Israel, another possession; The Temple, another possession. 1a) The Torah is one possession. From where do we know this? Since it is written, “The Lord possessed (usually translated as ‘created’) me at the beginning of his course, at the first of His works of old” (Proverbs 8:22). 2a) Heaven and earth, another possession. From where do we know this? Since it is said: “Thus said the Lord: The heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool; Where could you build a house for Me, What place could serve as My abode? (Isaiah 66:1) And it says: “How many are the things You have made, O Lord; You have made them all with wisdom; the earth is full of Your possessions” (Psalms 104:24). 3a) Abraham is another possession. From where do we know this? Since it is written: “He blessed him, saying, “Blessed by Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth” (Genesis 15:19). 4a) Israel is another possession. From where do we know this? Since it is written: “Till Your people cross over, O Lord, Till Your people whom You have possessed” (Exodus 15:16). And it says: “As to the holy and mighty ones that are in the land, my whole desire (possession) is in them” (Psalms 16:3). 5a) The Temple is another possession. From where do we know this? Since it is said: “The sanctuary, O lord, which your hands have established” (Exodus 15:17”, And it says: “And He brought them to His holy realm, to the mountain, which His right hand had possessed” (Psalms 78:54).

23So said the Lord of Hosts: In those days, when ten men of all the languages of the nations shall take hold of the skirt of a Jewish man, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you."

ten men: from the seventy nations. This equals seven hundred for each corner. For the four corners of the tallith there will be two thousand and eight hundred.

 

עשרה אנשים: משבעים לשון הרי שבע מאות לכל כנף וכנף הרי לד' כנפי הטלית אלפים ושמונ' מאו':

That may come in fulfillment in our days:

Our souls are bearing the ‘sparks’ (divine aspects) of Messiah.
It is forbidden to pray to bow down to any other (god), and/or messiah, and/or before any image or to lift up a human being as a god…… or to put any other (god), and/or messiah, and/or any image before or instead or between HaShem and us. ('It suf')
“The redemption will come about only through the study of the Torah. And the essential redemption depends upon the study of the Kabbalah” According to: R. ELIYAHU, THE VILNA GAON (Evven Shelemah (a ‘complete, without defect stone’) 11:3)
When Yehuda and Ephraim come to unity (again) Messiah Ben Joseph 'died' and Messiah Ben David shall be revealed and anointed by the Israeli people as the Messiah-King of Israel. As YeshaYahu is teaching:
Isa 11:9 – 16 They do no evil nor destroy in all My set-apart mountain, for the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of Adonai as the waters cover the sea.
Rashi: knowledge of the Lord: [lit.] to know the Lord.
10 And on that day, there shall be a Root of Yishai, standing as a banner to the people. Unto Him the nations shall seek, and His rest shall be esteem.
Rashi: as a banner for peoples: that peoples should raise a banner to gather to him.
11 And it shall be in that day that Adonai sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Ashshur and from Mitsrayim, from Pathros and from Kush, from Ěylam and from Shin‛ar, from Ḥamath and from the islands of the sea.
Rashi: a second time: Just as he acquired them from Egypt, when their redemption was absolute, without subjugation, but the redemption preceding the building of the Second Temple is not counted, since they were subjugated to Cyrus.
and from the islands of the sea: the islands of the Kittim, the Romans, the descendants of Esau.
And he shall raise a banner: Perka, perche in O.F. [i.e., the verse is literally referring to the pole upon which the banner is attached.] And it shall be for a sign to gather to him and to bring the exiles of Israel to Him as a present.
12 And He shall raise a banner for the nations, and gather the outcasts of Yisra’ěl, and assemble the dispersed of Yehuḏa from the four corners of the earth.
13 And the envy of Ephrayim shall turn aside, and the adversaries of Yehuḏa be cut off. Ephrayim shall not envy Yehuḏa, and Yehuḏa not trouble Ephrayim.
Rashi: Ephraim shall not envy Judah: The Messiah, the son of David, and the Messiah, the son of Joseph, shall not envy each other.
14 But they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines toward the west; together they plunder the people of the east, their hand stretching forth on Eḏom and Mo’aḇ, and the children of Ammon shall be subject to them.
Rashi: And they shall fly of one accord against the Philistines in the west: Heb. בְכָתֵף. Israel will fly and run of one accord against the Philistines who are in the west of Eretz Israel and conquer their land. [כָּתֵף, lit. a shoulder, is used in this case to denote unity. The word שֶׁכֶם, also lit. a shoulder, is used in a similar sense.] Comp. (Hoshea 6:9) “They murder on the way in unison (שֶׁכְמָה) ”; (Zeph. 3:9) “One accord (שְׁכֶם אֶחָד).” And so did Jonathan rendered it: And they shall join in one accord to smite the Philistines who are in the west.
and the children of Ammon shall obey them: As the Targum states: Will hearken to them. They will accept their commandments over them.
15 And Adonai shall put under the ban the tongue of the Sea of Mitsrayim, and He shall wave His hand over the River with the might of His Spirit, and shall strike it in the seven streams, and shall cause men to tread it in sandals.
Rashi: And… shall dry up: [lit. shall cut off] to dry it, so that the exiles of Israel will pass through it from Egypt.
over the river: The Euphrates River, for the exiles from Assyria to cross.
with the strength of His wind: Heb. בַּעְיָם. This is hapax legomenon in Scripture, and according to the context it can be interpreted as “with the strength of His wind.”
into seven streams: into seven segments, for the aforementioned seven exiles: from Assyria and from Egypt, etc. Those from the islands of the sea are not from that side.
and He shall lead: the exiles within it.
with shoes: on dry land.
16 And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people, those left from Ashshur, as it was for Yisra’ěl in the day when he came up from the land of Mitsrayim.
Rashi: And there shall be a highway: in the midst of the water for the remnant of His people.


Please Judah if a righteous gentile tries ‘to grasp your ‘tsi-sit’ and say:  
"Let me go with you, for I have heard that God is with you." Open your heart for him/her and share all our Torah. The Torah of Moshe Rabbeinu as it is written and spared and is teaches in the Tanach and all scripture of Rabbinical Judaism………

'Israeli MK proposes dividing Temple Mount between Jews and Muslims

**AMIT HALEVI'S PLAN WOULD GIVE MUSLIMS CONTROL OF THE SOUTHERN END OF THE TEMPLE MOUNT COMPLEX, WHICH CONTAINS THE AL-AQSA MOSQUE, WHILE JEWS WOULD RECEIVE THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN AREAS.

A Likud lawmaker is proposing a plan to divide Jerusalem’s Temple Mount between Muslims and Jews and to remove Jordan’s custodial status over the holy site.
Speaking to the Zman Yisrael Hebrew news site, Knesset member Amit Halevi outlined a plan whereby Muslims would control the southern end of the 37-acre complex which contains the Al-Aqsa mosque, while Jews would receive the central and northern area, where the Dome of the Rock sits.
According to Halevi, the reorganization makes sense from a religious point of view because that part of the Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism, where it is believed the First and Second Temples stood. The Foundation Stone at the center of the Dome of the Rock is where Jewish sources place the Holy of Holies.
“This is the place of the First Temple and the place of the Second Temple built by Babylonian immigrants. No one needs to examine the stones to know that it is ours,” he said.
Halevi also wants to end Israel’s agreement with the Jordanian Waqf whereby the Islamic trust controls and manages Islamic edifices on the Temple Mount.
“Why not give them status in the Dizengoff Center [a large shopping mall in Tel Aviv] as well? This is a terrible mistake. This status should be abolished. I know it’s an agreement between countries, but we have to deal with it. It requires change, even if the process will take time,” he said.
In addition, Halevi wants to give Jews the same access to the Temple Mount enjoyed by Muslims. Currently, the Waqf only allows Jews and non-Muslim tourists access to the Temple Mount via the Maghrebi Gate and only at certain hours when the gate is open.
“We will take the northern end and pray there. The entire mountain is sacred to us, and the Dome of the Rock is the place on which the Temple stood. This should be our guideline,” he said. “Israel is leading. It will be a historical, religious and national statement. If this does not happen then you are not actually the owner of the house. You are a klutz. Why are you even going in there?”
