For  Yosef , who had been rushed out of prison, shaved, cleaned up and given new clothes to stand before Pharaoh, it was just one more in  a series of dreams that paved that path of his life. Clearly,  Yosef  inherited his ability to dream from his father  Yaakov , who famously dreamed of a ladder extending from the earth to the heavens. But while  Yaakov's  dream included the appearance of G-d, Himself,  Yosef's  childhood dreams featured only himself and his immediate family.
